The position
As a Data Migration Consultant, you will be part of our client’s RDO (Data Migration) team, a software ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) provider located in La Rochelle. Your mission will be to support the preparation, migration, and integration of clients’ current data into their new ERP system throughout multiple consecutive projects. Your tasks throughout these projects will include:
- Analyzing data migration requests
- Understanding and applying data management rules
- Identifying configuration discrepancies
- Writing detailed technical specifications
- Creating SQL scripts for data loading, validation, and modification
- Performing testing and quality assurance
- Participating in user support
Initial travel to La Rochelle and client sites will be required during the first few weeks to facilitate your skill development. Subsequently, the mission will primarily take place in La Rochelle, at Cat-Amania’s office in Niort, and through remote work.
Your profile
If you have a background in IT or come from the automotive, handling, or agricultural industry, you already have an affinity for the field of information technology.
Ideally, you are familiar with data migration methodologies and possess skills in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Shell scripting.
Proficiency in DB2, UNIX, Visual Studio, and Filezilla is a plus.
Functional knowledge of the automotive/handling/agricultural environment (customer records, supplier records, inventory, etc.) is also beneficial.
You will, of course, undergo several weeks of training on the client’s ERP system to acquire all the necessary knowledge to fulfill your responsibilities.
Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential qualities for this role.
