Jira is a range of project management and ITSM tools developed by Atlassian. The strength of Jira Suite is its capacity to manage projects following an agile methodology and to manage ITSM issues. The tools in this suite have a very advanced capacity for adaptation due to their almost total configurability, which allows it to manage all types of projects. Cat-Amania has been using this suite of tools since 2015 to manage its service center projects and its internal support, particularly in the context of our Innova research program. Our consultants have also been supporting key accounts since 2017 in their implementation of this tool.
What are the advantages of the Jira product range for project management?
The Jira tools developed by Atlassian are very comprehensive and have numerous advantages:

What tools are included in the Atlassian range?
One of the first tools that Cat-Amania implemented was Jira Service Management, formerly Jira Service Desk. This tool allows you to manage user support with ticketing and workflow functions. Jira Service Management aims to create an interface between the end user and the IT department of a company.
Another tool is Jira Work Management, formerly Jira Core. This tool offers a solution for the materialization of processes, especially on business projects. It is aimed at marketing departments, project management departments and also IT departments for various types of activities. It allows close collaboration between the members of a business team, or even between several business departments.
Jira Software is the reference for agile project management products. This tool allows you to manage both Scrum and Kanban. Its ability to adapt and configure also allows it to manage more traditional projects such as V-Cycles or iterative modes. This tool is widely used in agile IT departments.
Jira Align is the only tool in the suite that allows you to materialize the high layers of the SAFe model, an enterprise-wide agility method. It is therefore particularly useful in enabling managers to monitor the work of their teams.
The fifth tool we use is Advanced Roadmaps. This tool provides an overview of projects and teams. Advanced Roadmaps highlights the dependencies that exist between different projects as well as the constraints on the teams and their skills. It allows you to plan for the short, medium or long term.
Finally, Confluence is a tool that allows you to create and develop a knowledge base for documentation and product requirements. Confluence is a collaborative tool that works in synergy with the Jira tool suite. It allows you to create, collaborate and comment on your projects by centralizing information and data.

The functionalities of the Jira tools are vast, complementary and can be adapted to all types of companies. Therefore, Jira Suite is aimed at all companies that want more traceability and collaboration.
One of the first features of Jira was ticketing for keeping track of tasks and working in teams more efficiently. Today, its functionality goes far beyond simple ticketing and meets the needs of both large and small companies.
Historically, Cat-Amania has worked with large banking and insurance companies to implement Jira Suite, but it is increasingly working with other middle market companies.
