ISO 27001 Certification: secure your information!
After two years of research and preparation, and following the week-long audit conducted from September 16 to 20, 2019 by the LRQA organization, Cat-Amania was given approval to obtain the ISO 27001 certification on data security.
“What does Wikipedia say? The ISO/IEC 27001 standard, published in October 2005 and revised in 2013, is the successor to the BSI (British Standards Institution) BS 7799-2 standard. It is intended for all types of organizations (commercial enterprises, NGOs, administrations, etc.) and defines the requirements for the implementation of an information security management system (ISMS).”
Faced with the extreme importance of information security in the dynamic evolution of our markets, and in order to better connect our talents, Cat-Amania must control its information flows. This allows us to exchange information in complete security. This is why our goal is to certify all our agencies according to the ISO 27001 standard.
WHAT DOES THIS CHANGE FOR US?
The ISO 27001 standard requires a change in our habits and an appropriation of the culture of secure processing of the information we receive, whether it is technical, legal or simply “everyday” information.
We must also adhere to and apply a series of good practices that aim to make us accountable for the use of the information we have. To do this, we will carefully categorize the level of confidentiality of the data and identify the risks in case of mismanagement to ensure an appropriate level of vigilance.
Most of you have successfully obtained the GDPR certification, a first step towards meeting the requirements of the standard.
In order to continue to open our premises to all our employees, while guaranteeing the security of your personal data stored in the agencies, restricted areas have been set up around the management structure.
AND NOW?
Thanks to the work of our Improvement and Security Manager, Alexia KRAKOWSKI, a leader in this field, and the whole project team, we have obtained the certification for our sites in Nantes and Tours. But this is only the beginning… The goal is to certify all our agencies! The next agencies on the list are Niort and Bordeaux, so let’s get to work!
